about the topic

Program Overview
New front-line supervisors face a myriad of challenges and frequently are unprepared for their new role. They no longer are valued for the skills and expertise as a major contributor to the organization, but as someone who holds others accountable for their performance.

The focus of this program is to leap directly into the heart of performance issues a new front-line supervisor faces. Miki will draw from his latest book, Stepping-Up: A Road Map for New Supervisors (2008) from John Wiley and Sons, and his consulting and teaching background to address the performance components of the supervisory role, and the model and tools used for performance improvement.

Program Objectives:
-Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the Human Performance Technology (HPT) model and how it works.
-Participants will be able to describe tools and resources used by supervisors to improve staff performance.
