Program Overview
There are two main reasons people are drawn to MNISPI meetings: networking and programs. In planning the 2010-2011 program year, we decided to kickoff the season with a program on networking – and, Voila! – we have Networking Night at MNISPI.
Networking, as many of you know, is the systematic process of building and maintaining a web of professional alliances that you will use and refer to during your entire working career. You have probably already done it; for example, by telling a friend about a great restaurant you tried. Typically, it is a low-key, low-risk conversation to gather information, leads or referrals.
This program will give you opportunities to expand and energize your network within our professional community.
Program Objectives
As participants in Networking Night you will:
• Enhance your network with more connections.
• Practice basic networking skills, such as perfecting your elevator speech, finding resources for new opportunities, gaining valuable information, asking clarifying or guiding questions, and providing feedback.
