MnISPI's Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Book Banter SIG

This is MnISPI's reading group. Our mission is to help trainers, instructional designers, and other HR professionals stay current in performance-improvement technologies. Each month we read part of a new book, an article, or a classic related to our profession, then come together to discuss what we've learned and relate it to our own experiences.

It is nice, but not a requirement that you have read the materials we are focusing on. Everyone is welcome and there are no dues.

Meets at 5:30 PM on the first Monday of every month at:

Rockford Road Community Library
6401 42nd Avenue North
Crystal, MN

For more information contact Rob Janecek (763-232-8753).

Consultants’ SIG

Consultants — from seasoned to novice — meet over breakfast to compare notes on all aspects of consulting in learning and performance improvement. The group includes trainers, instructional designers, performance technologists, writers, and organizational development specialists. The CSIG mission is to help our members develop their business and professional skills through friendship and sharing.

The CSIG also offers one-on-one mentoring sessions for newer or mid-level consultants. If you're interested in meeting once or twice with a seasoned pro to discuss performance improvement consulting, come to a CSIG meeting for more information.

Meets 8:30 – 10:30 AM on the 2nd Monday of each month online.
